Hickory Dickory Holiday Clock

The Hickory Dickory Holiday Clock is one of those projects that just makes people smile. It’s a 3D standing prop shaped like a classic grandfather clock, but with a fun holiday twist. The clock face has eyes and a little mouth, and there’s a peppermint-shaped ticker in the center that gives it just the right amount of movement and personality. It feels playful without being over-the-top, which makes it perfect for Christmas decorating.

What I Used

  • 12x12 Cardstock Shop cardstock
  • Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue (you can get 10% off with my link)
  • Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine

This file uses dashed cut lines for all folds, so there’s no scoring involved. It keeps the assembly simple and fast, which is always a win during the busy holiday season.

Size Options

I made my clock at about 8 inches tall, which is a great size for shelves, tiered trays, and tabletop decor. You can also size this template up to around 11 inches tall if you want it to make more of a statement. It looks really cute either way and works well as a standalone piece or mixed in with other Christmas decor.

Why You’ll Love This One

This is a great project if you want something dimensional without a ton of tiny pieces or complicated steps. The shapes are clean, the details cut beautifully, and the finished clock feels sturdy once assembled. It’s fun, festive, and a little whimsical — the kind of decor people always ask about when they see it sitting out.
