FREE Cupid’s Drop Box

This Cupid’s Drop Box is a fun Valentine’s Day project that could work for classroom exchanges, but I personally love the idea of using it for a gift for your loved one. Of course, with most of my crafts, I gifted this to my kids.

The mailbox shape feels playful and festive, and it leaves plenty of room for treats while still keeping the design simple. It' s a really simple build: the mailbox itself is only two pieces. If you're going to use it just as decor and not fill it, you could delete the "bottom" of the box and it will still stand fine.

The little love letter adds a fun interactive detail, making this box feel extra special without being complicated. I did include 2 in the file, one for the front and one for the back, so it's a double sisded design. Please feel free to delete one of them if you're only going to display one side.

About Cupid’s Drop Box

The love letter is designed so you can leave it unglued and add a handwritten message before placing it in the front slot for display. I just glued mine closed and then added some glue to the back of the envelope to keep it in place.

The file is set up so you only need to adjust the height when you upload it to your cutting software.

In the photos and default file setup, the finished mailbox measures about 5 inches tall, but it can easily be scaled up or down depending on what you want to put inside.

I also welded the letters in “MAIL” into a single piece, so you don’t have to deal with placing tiny individual letters.

This design pairs perfectly with the free Postage Stamp Valentine for a coordinated classroom set.
