FREE Christmas Stationery Gift Hanger

If you’re anything like me, Thanksgiving hits and you suddenly remember your kid has teachers, aides, therapists, bus drivers, and a whole crew of people who definitely deserve a little something when school starts back up again. This Christmas stationery gift hanger is quick, cute, and practical—perfect for a simple “thank you” without a lot of fuss.

A Simple Gift That Still Feels Thoughtful

This little hanger holds a standard Post-it note pack and a mini Sharpie or small pen. If you don’t have a mini pen, a Christmas lip balm works perfectly. It hangs from a gift bag, backpack, or classroom door and looks way more put-together than the time it actually takes!

Materials I Used

For this project I used glitter white from Celebration Warehouse, which is my go-to for snowy Christmas projects. The pink accents are Neon Glitter Pink, also from Celebration Warehouse, and the base layer is their Brick Red cardstock.

Supplies You’ll Want Handy

  • Glitter white cardstock
  • Neon glitter pink cardstock
  • Brick Red cardstock
  • Standard Post-it note pack
  • Mini Sharpie or lip balm
  • Ribbon
  • Bearly Art Glue (you get 10% off with my code SALTY)
  • Surebonder hot glue gun
  • Glue dots (optional)

Customizing the Front Panel

The front flap of the Post-it note holder is intentionally blank. You can add a vinyl design, text, a little message, or anything that fits your style. In the display image on this post, mine says “Merry Christmas,” but you could also add a photo, patterned paper, or even let your child write or draw on it.

How I Attached the Sticky Notes

Glitter cardstock doesn’t hold heavier pieces very well with regular glue, so I used my Surebonder hot glue gun to attach the Post-it notes. Everything else is layered with Bearly Art Glue.

How to Assemble the Gift Hanger

Due to the simple nature of this file, I did not make a full assembly video tutorial. If you need a quick reference, check out my video on Instagram or YouTube.
